Humboldt State University has rescheduled a public hearing to gather comments on a plan to adopt more selective admissions requirements in some high-demand academic programs. The hearing’s new date is Thursday, March 7 from 3 to 4 p.m., at College of the Redwoods Eureka Campus, Student Services Building 109. The hearing was rescheduled to accommodate previously planned high school closures.
The new admissions requirements would affect freshmen and transfer applicants in Biology, Botany, Wildlife and Zoology; and transfer applicants in Environmental Resources Engineering. The new requirements would take effect for students enrolling in fall 2014 or after.
Comments may be submitted at Thursday’s hearing or by using the online form at humboldt.edu/impaction. Comments are due no later than March 15.
