Humboldt State University has been named a top master’s university in the country by _Washington Monthly._
Humboldt State was ranked among the top 7 percent of master’s universities in the country and 20th among public universities in its category, according to the 2013 College Guide.
The report rates schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: Social Mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), Research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs), and Service (encouraging students to give something back to their country).
