Humboldt State NOW Unveils New Features

Humboldt State NOW recently added a host of features including new options for sharing and storing articles, new ways to stay up to date on all things HSU, and a new section dedicated to University Notices, the weekly university updates you're used to seeing in your in box.

Social Bookmarking Takes Off

Thanks to advances in social bookmarking, it’s now easier than ever to share stories with your friends, colleagues or just about anybody in your address book. When you find a page you like, simply bookmark it using the new Share button at the bottom of every NOW story. Whether you use Google Bookmarks, Facebook, Delicious, Reddit, Digg, or any of the other social networking services, you can easily add bookmarks, tag them for easy sorting and quickly share them with the world.

RSS Updates

NOW’s new RSS feed allows you to get the most up-to-date information from Humboldt State. You can be the first to know about breaking HSU news thanks to our RSS feed that updates every time we post a story—usually several times a week. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it’s a great way to stay informed not only about HSU but any site you like that offers a feed service. For more information about RSS, check out the University’s RSS resource page.

University Notes on NOW

If you’ve ever seen something in University Notices, the campus-wide weekly email, but later couldn’t locate the message in your inbox, we’ve got the solution. At Humboldt State NOW you can browse through the current week’s notices or through archives going back to Sept. 2008. Don’t worry, University Notices will still be delivered to your in box every week.

As always, we love hearing from our readers so don’t hesitate to send us your event or suggest a story.
