Phallic Femininity

Jodie Loghry

Jodie Loghry’s show explores femininity with the use of traditionally feminine items, such as handkerchiefs, doilies and crochet, to create phallic symbols in her work. The sculptures and drawings are meant to create commentary on views of the feminine and masculine. She observes, as time passes, the ideas and borders of femininity are changing and blending with masculinity. She will hold an artist reception Dec. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Foyer Gallery is located in HSU Art Department.

Lacey Condon

Lacy Condon invites you to examine her terminology of fantasy. She uses magical thinking when drafting what a new creature or species of creatures would be like. Condon’s work stems from her interest in commonalities between the fantastical and the scientific, bridging the concepts of what is and what could be. She explores this subject matter in acrylics, watercolor and other varity of media that has a focus on graphic illustration. She will be hosting a reception in the gallery Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Student Business Services Gallery is located on the first floor of the SBS building.
