During her time at Humboldt State, Ms. Teixeira worked to develop safe approaches for student-athletes to practice during the pandemic, and for multiple teams to be able to participate in limited competition in the Spring. In addition, she helped guide efforts to rebrand HSU Athletics, which included a major update of the department’s website.
Ms. Teixeira consistently stressed the importance of performance in the classroom as well as community involvement, and was focused on providing a positive experience for student-athletes by championing giving back to the community and leading social equity change.
The changes are effective immediately. Information on permanently filling the vacancy for Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreational Sports will be provided at a later date.
