Library Bolsters Quieter Study Environment

Responding to student requests for a quieter study environment, the HSU Library is taking a series of measures to manage noise levels in key locations.

Instructional Technology Services is posting signs in the Library computer labs reminding users of courteous cell phone use. The signs are the same as those posted campus-wide at other computer labs.

Students consider the Library’s second and third floors to be quieter than the first level and they have access to the Silent Study Room, Lib 205, and the surrounding Quiet Study area on the second floor. Expanding on this, six computer work stations have been installed with library computer lab software, two on the second floor and four on the third floor.
