OLLI Begins New Membership Year Aug. 1

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Humboldt State University will commence a new membership year August 1, offering more than 70 academic and thought-provoking classes in conjunction with HSU’s Centennial Celebration.

OLLI’s “Art of Living,” a free brown bag lunch series for members, will include a line-up of outstanding Centennial Speakers at noon at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center on the Eureka Waterfront.

September 18: The “her-story” of women athletes at HSU for the last century – a lively retrospective from free-lance writer Carol Harrison of Gender Equity

October 16: Schatz Energy Research Center – efforts to bring clean and renewable energy to Humboldt County and beyond with Richard Engel, senior research engineer
