In order to extend and enrich campus conversations about student success, the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching – in collaboration with the Faculty Development Office and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion – is offering faculty and staff book circles.
All HSU faculty and staff have the opportunity to engage in one of three book circles this semester, each focusing on one of the core themes of the Institute for Student Success (to be held May 2011).
Book titles include: Small Group Instruction in Higher Education (eds. James Cooper et al), Student Success in College: Creating Conditions that Matter (eds. George Kuh et al), Why Race and Culture Matter in Schools: Closing the Achievement Gap in America’s Classrooms (Tyrone Howard).
Complimentary book and $100 honorarium offered to all participants.
