Spring Preview offers applied, newly admitted, and confirmed Fall 2026 students a chance to experience campus life, learn about academic programs, and connect with the people who make up the Lumberjack community.
Cal Poly Humboldt will host its annual Spring Preview on Saturday, March 28, and Saturday, April 18, welcoming hundreds of prospective students and their families to explore and connect with the campus community.

“Spring Preview offers students a chance to envision their future at Humboldt by connecting with faculty, engaging with current students, and exploring the campus, which can significantly influence their college decision and help them discover the vibrant community and opportunities that await them,” says Sulaina Banks, Visit Experience Coordinator in the Office of Admissions.

Throughout the day, students and their families can attend workshops, join guided tours, and participate in meet-and-greets designed to help them prepare for the start of the fall semester.

Spring Preview highlights include:

  • Campus and housing tours, giving visitors a look at where students live and learn
  • The Humboldt Connect Fair, where faculty and staff from academic departments and student support programs share information about opportunities and resources
  • Academic sessions that allow students to explore majors and meet professors
  • Open houses with staff from Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Housing, and more
  • Student mixers and activities, where prospective students can connect with current Lumberjacks and learn about campus life

For many attendees, Spring Preview provides an opportunity to ask questions, explore campus spaces, and imagine their future at Humboldt.

“We know that when prospective students visit campus and explore the broader community, they often find out that Humboldt is the perfect place for them,” said Chrissy Holliday, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. “Because we are a destination campus, with a large number of students coming from outside the local region, experiences like Preview are essential to their college choice process.”

Students can register for Spring Preview through their Applicant Status Page, though walk-in registration will also be available at the event.
