UC Employee Transition Underway

Humboldt State University’s Office of Human Resources is working to complete the transition of University Center employees into new positions.

HR has contacted UC non-dining employees and is currently in the process of signing most of them up in new positions today. Most hires are effective between mid-January and early February. HR has also sent a communication to student assistants to aid their transfer to stateside positions. The University will maintain all student jobs in non-dining areas like Center Activities and CenterArts.

New student employees will attend a Zoom orientation, and HR is developing a seminar for managers of new employees, to help welcome them effectively and efficiently.

HR continues to work closely with transferring employees. Anyone with questions can contact HR at 707-826-3626 or hsuhr@humboldt.edu.

Dining employees, including student employees, are in the transition process with Chartwells Higher Education, which will manage dining services through June 2022. See more information about Chartwells here.

Immediately upon notice of termination last year, HSU met with UC leadership to discuss the transition and priorities. As the transition continues, Humboldt State’s priority is enhancing and expanding the programs and services for students. The University is working on a smooth transition to ensure continuity of services, minimize disruptions for employees, and improve oversight of funds.
