Regenerative cultivation and principles are at the center of the program’s efforts to promote communities of action across professional sectors: cultivators, nonprofits, researchers, students, public servants, and more.
Each year, the symposium aims to cultivate common ground for diverse stakeholders to learn from each other about opportunities and challenges related to the promotion of environmental stewardship in concept and practice. The symposium brings together experts from organizations including the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Chico State, Cal Poly Humboldt’s Rou Dalagourr Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute, and more.
Prior to the symposium, a social gathering will be held on Thursday, March 27, at Septentrio Winery in Arcata from 7 to 9 p.m.
The 2025 Cannabis and Environmental Stewardship Symposium is funded through the Land-Sea Connection Program of Resources Legacy Fund, made possible by the Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment.
