The Career Expo & Volunteer Fair brings in many different organizations and companies to meet students.
Cal Poly Humboldt students will have the chance to connect with potential employers for jobs, internships, and volunteer work experience at the annual Career Expo & Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the West Gym at the Recreation & Wellness Center.

“The Career Expo & Volunteer Fair empowers students to connect with employers, practice networking, gain insights into industries, and pave the way for their post-graduation employment success,” says Ann Johnson-Cruz, Employer Relations & Outreach Coordinator at the Career Development Center.

Hosted by the Career Development Center and the Center for Community-Based Learning, the Career Expo and Volunteer Fair will feature approximately 80 recruiters from local and out-of-area organizations and companies. Students can register for the Career Expo & Volunteer Fair through Handshake or here

To assist students attending the Career Expo, the University will offer transportation to the West Gym from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. via the “Expo Express,” a modified route of the Lumberjack Express.

Dressing for success is also advised, with a recommendation for business casual attire that can elevate a professional journey. Students are encouraged to visit the Career Clothing Closet run by Oh SNAP! Student Food Programs for FREE, gently used professional clothing in different shapes and sizes. To visit the Career Clothing Closet, please email ohsnap@humboldt.edu or call 707-826-4556 to schedule an appointment. (Please note: Non-career clothing is not free.)

The expo will also feature a professional photographer who will provide free, studio-style headshots to students during the event, allowing them to enhance their LinkedIn profiles or other professional websites.

The Career Development Center is offering skill shops, before and after the Career Expo, to help students prepare and make the most impact in career searching, including:
