CR and HSU Present International Latino Film Festival in 2015

College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University are offering a 1 unit class to coincide with the International Latino Film Festival happening in the spring 2015 semester. The festival will be held on March 3, 4 and 5 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Minor Theatre in Arcata. There will be two pre and post festival workshops for students registered in the class.

Students can receive 1 unit of GE credit for viewing, analyzing and discussing three extraordinary films which will all cover African heritage in Latin America. Each film is preceded by a short introduction and followed by a panel discussion. The keynote speaker for this event will be Dr. Armando Cháves-Rivera, Assistant Professor at the University of Houston Victoria.
