Liane Gruss is an award-winning journalist for Radio Berlin-Brandenburg and reports on politics, culture, and society. Annette Walter is an online news editor at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich, covering regional news and features.
The public is invited to attend a free public lecture by Gruss and Walter Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. in the Native American Forum, room 162 of the Behavioral and Social Sciences building. The journalists will discuss what German media thinks of U.S. politics, press, and society.
The visiting journalist program is designed to give foreign media professionals an opportunity to observe how journalism is practiced and taught in the United States. Gruss and Walter will also produce their own stories about North Coast culture and news for German press.
The program is hosted by the RIAS Berlin Commission, which promotes German-American understanding in broadcasting.
