Cal Poly Humboldt’s publication, Humboldt Magazine, is entering a new era. The Fall 2025 edition marks the magazine’s first fully digital release, offering readers an immersive experience with expanded photo galleries, behind-the-scenes video, and interactive storytelling.

The new digital format amplifies the voices, research, and community spirit that define Cal Poly Humboldt.

This issue takes readers from the hills of North Macedonia, where Humboldt researchers and students are helping to uncover a long-lost civilization connected to Alexander the Great, to Humboldt Bay and out at sea, where students and faculty embark on hands-on marine research aboard the University’s newest vessel, the R/V North Wind.

Alumni stories also shine, including a moving reflection on a group of friends whose bonds began in Maple Hall more than 50 years ago and have carried through decades of love, adventure, and support. Meanwhile, the energy is palpable as students move into Hinarr Hu Moulik, Humboldt’s newest housing complex, which promises to be a vibrant space for living, learning, and growth.

The issue also spotlights the vibrant new Gutswurrak Student Activities Center South Lounge, inspiring alumni stories, and achievements from Humboldt’s faculty, staff, and students.
