Sanders, who is based in Miami but travels the world, reported on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, San Bernardino shooting, Boston Marathon bombing, Trayvon Martin killing, and countless hurricanes. Sanders was on the first U.S. cruise boat to Cuba, and has been running from bulls, swimming from sharks and wrestling crocodiles in his lighter news pieces.
Sanders contributes regularly to “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Today,” MSNBC, and occasionally to “Dateline NBC.” He has won multiple awards for his coverage.
He will be speaking to the HSU community at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 in the Kate Buchanan Room. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served after the discussion.
