Greening Up Your Move Out

Local charities are set to take advantage of would-be trash as hundreds of students prepare to move out of campus residence halls and donate tons of household items, and office and school supplies.

Coming Together for Support

The Humboldt State community gathered last Thursday to celebrate the life of 19-year-old student David Josiah Lawson, who was killed on Saturday, April 15. The Kate Buchanan Room was overflowing, with many people standing and others listening on speakers just outside.

Reduction in Childcare Services

Humboldt State University informed parents today that it will need to make reductions to childcare services beginning in May.

The World's Tallest Tree (on a College Campus)

Humboldt State University’s northern California campus is home to the tallest tree on any college campus anywhere in the world. This was confirmed by HSU Forestry Professor and renowned tall tree expert Steve Sillett and his graduate students who have painstakingly measured and mapped the major limbs of this impressive 240 foot Sitka spruce.

2016-17 Outstanding Faculty Honored

Students Head to System-wide Research Competition

Nine Humboldt State University students have been selected to represent the campus at the 31st Annual California State University Student Research Competition, April 28 and 29, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Learn Canvas, Get Pizza
