Listed below are the results of the General Faculty election held online September 12-15, 2011. There were 404 eligible voters, with 180 faculty casting votes (45%).
A two-year, $117,000 National Science Foundation grant will enable Humboldt State University physics students to conduct the most rigorous test worldwide of Einstein’s famous theory of relativity in the campus’s Gravitational Research Laboratory.
The College of Natural Resources and Sciences has received a half a million dollar grant to purchase an environmental scanning electron microscope, a cutting-edge tool that will boost faculty-led research in the earth, physical and biological sciences.
Humboldt State University will conduct the Grand Opening of its new College Creek Apartment complex on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 1:30 p.m. in the facility’s Great Hall, One Harpst Street, Arcata.
Humboldt State will host a free, two-day symposium on traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) for faculty, students, staff and the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 and 23.
