h4. Trustees Approve Budget Seeking Restoration of $333 Million from State
The CSU Board of Trustees this week adopted a budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year that requests state lawmakers provide an additional $333 million in funding.
The trustees also approved an undergraduate tuition increase of $498 per year, effective fall 2012.
World-renowned ecologist and author Simon Levin will discuss collective animal behavior and the interplay of human welfare and sustainability in consecutive lectures Thursday, Dec. 8 at Humboldt State University. Both are open to the public.

The California State University Board of Trustees today unanimously approved its 2012-2013 budget, which requests that the governor and legislature provide an additional $333 million in state funding for the upcoming fiscal year. The board also approved an increase in tuition of $498 a year that will go into effect for fall 2012. The vote was 9 to 6*.
