President Hosts Promoted Faculty Reception Oct. 7

President Richmond will host a reception honoring promoted faculty on Friday, Oct. 7, 3-4 p.m., in Goodwin Forum, Nelson Hall East. The entire campus community is invited. Refreshments will be served and student musicians will entertain.

Humboldt State University’s First Street Gallery in Old Town, Eureka is honored to present Paintings by Leslie Kenneth Price, a collection of artist Leslie Price’s recent work from his Veil series. The exhibit will run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 6.

HSU Students Put Einstein Theory to Toughest Test Yet

A two-year, $117,000 National Science Foundation grant will enable Humboldt State University physics students to conduct the most rigorous test worldwide of Einstein’s famous theory of relativity in the campus’s Gravitational Research Laboratory.

Volunteer Opportunities Available Through YES

“There’s so much that needs to be different in this world,” said Lorena Boswell, Youth Educational Services (YES) coordinator. “It wouldn’t happen without volunteers. Volunteers are essential.”

CSU Bargaining Updates with CFA

The California State University (CSU) system is currently in talks with the California Faculty Association regarding their collective bargaining agreement.

Fieldwork Scholarship Sends Anthropology Major on Belize Adventure

HSU Anthropology and Sociology major, Leslie Perkins, was awarded the Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to only seven students in the United States and Canada and includes $1,000 to pay for their first fieldwork experience.
