A cellist from Sacramento, a flutist from Venezuela and a pianist from Florida walked into a university in Lincoln, Nebraska. The result is the Lancaster Trio, performing a program at HSU that includes a work inspired by whale songs, on Thursday, March 26.

Campus Safety Bulletin: Suspicious Individual/Unlawful Activity On Campus

The university community should be on the alert for a suspicious individual trespassing on the HSU campus. On March 11, Zachary Kolodjeski was convicted of trespassing related to reentering the HSU campus and harassing an HSU employee after being asked to leave by campus officials. Kolodjeski’s conviction resulted from information provided by HSU students, staff and faculty that lead to an investigation and Kolodjeski's arrest.

Financial Aid Filing Deadline Approaching

The following message was provided by the California State University Chancellor's Office. Students wishing to apply for financial aid for California State University (CSU) campuses for the 2015-16 academic year have less than a week remaining to submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline for submitting a FAFSA is Monday, March 2. Students are strongly encouraged to apply before the priority deadline as financial aid awards may be limited for applications received after March 2.

Indonesian High Ed Officials Seek Partnerships with HSU, Cal State System

Our People, Our Land, Our Images Exhibition and Art Talk at Goudi’ni Native American Gallery

Opportunities to view indigenous peoples through the eyes of indigenous photographers are rare and recent. On display at the Goudi’ni Gallery through March 13, “Our People, Our Land, Our Images” presents the works of three generations of indigenous photographers from the North America, South America, the Middle East, and New Zealand. They include newly discovered, nineteenth-century trailblazers, well-established contemporary practitioners, and emerging photographers from the next generation.
