Humboldt State's Lizzy Prescott is among the six-former student-athletes and coaches from across the state who will be inducted into the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) as members of the Class of 2020 as announced by the conference office earlier this week.

HSU Sees More Freshmen Staying in School

There are positive signs that efforts to keep students in school are working, with Humboldt State’s first-year students returning at higher rates than they had the last two years.

Update: Cornel West Venue, Time Change

Due to popularity, Dr. Cornel West’s speaking engagement at Humboldt State has been moved to Friday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. in the Van Duzer Theater. This means a limited number of additional tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, for free at the UC Ticket Office (707) 826-3928. If you are a ticket holder, please note the time has changed. Your ticket is still valid and you don’t need to take any additional steps.

Free Professional Wear for Students

As the semester kicks off, the Academic & Career Advising Center (ACAC) will offer free, gently used clothing to students launching their careers and looking for summer jobs and internships.

Black Heritage and Community Through Gospel Music

Blending her cultural heritage, love of music, and call to serve the community, HSU student Valetta Molofsky organized the first Harvest Event at the Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir (AIGC) in November. Housing, Meal Prices Won’t Rise Next Year

Housing and meal plan prices for HSU students will not go up next year, as the University maintains a commitment to providing affordable basic needs to the campus community.
