It was mid-afternoon in the Oregon backcountry by the time Geneviève Marchand’s class found a spot to camp. But this time they weren't erecting a tarp shelter. Instead, they were building an igloo out of snow.

Children with disabilities face daily challenges that impact their lives, and a better understanding of those obstacles can help adults serve their needs. For many children in Northern California, those needs aren’t being met, something Humboldt State’s re-tooled adapted physical education (APE) credential and master’s program seeks to remedy.
