Campus Community, After careful consultation with the campus, local health care providers and the broader community, I have decided to discontinue Humboldt State's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Humboldt State University has decided to to discontinue its Nursing Program, which will be phased out over the next two years. No new students will be accepted.

Online courses offered this coming fall semester will pave the way for the future launch of HSU’s first fully online degree program: the Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work (BSW). In addition to creating greater access for undergraduate students, the online bachelor’s degree will tentatively be joined by an online Master of Arts in Social Work (MSW) in spring 2012.

Exercise, health, nutrition – and the Internet? Combining technology and teaching is expected in Computer Science and Engineering programs, but the Department of Kinesiology and Recreation Administration has developed a way to combine interactive, online teaching with exercise and nutrition education.
