The Spider and the Fly: Works by Gail Wight

Humboldt State University’s First Street Gallery presents, The Spider and the Fly, a collection of prints and mixed media drawings by artist Gail Wight on display April 1 to May 18. Currently a Professor of Art at Stanford University, Wight’s work has earned her national and international recognition in solo and group exhibitions.

HSU Opera Workshop’s Musical Discoveries

Coral Sea's Uncovered History Reveals High Seas Adventures

During its 40-year existence, Humboldt State’s marine research vessel, the Coral Sea, has seen its share of adventures. It’s been held captive in a foreign port, served as the headquarters for drug smugglers and brought back sunken treasure from the Bahamas. For a while, it was also the home of Mac, the Diving Dog.

HSU Talk Probes Environmentally-Mediated Diseases

A U.C.-Berkeley scientist will discuss environmentally-mediated diseases when he delivers Humboldt State University’s annual Lamberson Ecology Lecture on Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the Native American Forum, Room 162, adjoining the Behavioral and Social Sciences Building.
