(August 27, 2014) – The California State University (CSU) and the California State University Employees Union (CSUEU) have reached a tentative agreement on a multi-year successor contract. The agreement, which covers 15,000 employees working in health care support, operations support, administrative support, and technical support on the 23 CSU campuses, will be in effect through June 30, 2017.

The governor has signed the 2014-15 state budget that includes an increase of $142.2 million in base funding for the CSU. The budget increase will enable the CSU to maintain existing programs and services. Moreover, tuition fees will remain stable for our students for the fourth consecutive year. The allocation will also enable us to begin to address a backlog of deferred maintenance projects.
Humboldt State University’s First Street Gallery presents, _A Joyful Eighty_, a large collection of new paintings by artist Joan Gold, which will be on display July 5 through September 7. Gold’s exhibit will occupy both rooms at the gallery, affording visitors a comprehensive experience of the artist’s work at this stage in her eightieth year.
