Humboldt State University is investigating multiple members of the Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Team for alleged hazing, as well as other possible violations of student and athletic codes of conduct.

Humboldt State University has cancelled the 2012-13 Men’s soccer season and initiated disciplinary proceedings against a number of players for hazing and underage drinking at a party two weeks ago. Players were found to have violated rules in the student and student-athlete codes of conduct.

Humboldt State University President Rollin Richmond has named Joyce Hendricks Lopes, Chief Business Officer and Assistant Superintendent at Western Placer Unified School District, Lincoln, CA, to be Vice President for Administration and Finance, effective Oct.1.

Humboldt State University’s Career Center will host a Part-Time Job Fair on Thursday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to help returning students meet local employers about employment opportunities. Last year’s fair drew more than 2,000 students.
