For the third year in a row, Humboldt State University has been rated among the most environmentally responsible colleges in the U.S. and Canada by the Princeton Review, an education services company, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council.

HSU Cycling is once again the Division II Western Collegiate Cycling Conference Champions in road racing, and HSU Cycling's Luke Ramseth is once again the overall Division II Conference Champion. Twelve members of the HSU's cycling team raced at conference championships in Reno this weekend. The team participated in the team time trial, criterium and road race events, finishing with enough points to win the title. Ramseth returned to Arcata with a medal, special yellow championship jersey and lucite star given only to the overall conference champions. He finished in sixth place in the Men's A, 88-mile road race, in a tense finishing sprint with the main pack just seconds behind a lead breakaway of two riders from UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz.

The HSU Religious Studies Club invites the campus community to an exhibition of a precious collection of sacred relics of the Buddha and many other Buddhist masters. The relics will be on display at the Veterans Hall Memorial Building, 1425 J St., in Arcata on. An opening ceremony takes place on Friday, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. The display continues on Saturday, April 28, from 10 to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, from 10 to 5 p.m.

Continuing a tradition begun in 1950, Humboldt State University honored its Outstanding Students 2011-2012 at award ceremonies Apr. 19, hosted by President Rollin Richmond, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Bob Snyder and Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Peg Blake.
