Prospective students submitted more than 760,000 undergraduate applications to California State University campuses for admission in fall 2014—the largest number of applications ever received by the 23-campus system and an increase of two percent over the previous year. The number of unique students submitting applications approached 284,000—an increase of nearly ten percent from two years ago. Five campuses—Fullerton, Long Beach, Northridge, San Diego, and San Luis Obispo—each received in excess of 50,000 applications for admission.
