Even the grueling 80-degree heat couldn’t stop HSU’s cycling team on Sunday in Hollister, Calif. The team was crowned champion of the Division II Western Collegiate Cycling Conference.

With his recent induction into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame, HSU Softball Coach Frank Cheek adds one more laurel to a legendary career that includes two national titles and numerous trips to conference championships.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — An extended journey from Arcata didn't deter the Humboldt State men's cross country team from claiming a victory in its opening meet, a 22-35 win over Alaska-Fairbanks on Thursday.
