On Jan. 5, Nick Pettit, Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics Director, announced the hiring of Megan Corriea as the new Head Softball Coach. Corriea possesses two decades of coaching experience and most recently served as the head softball coach since 2007 at Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) in Coos Bay, Oregon, posting a record of 486-207.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, Cal Poly Humboldt President, Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr., announced that Dr. Nick Pettit will be the next Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports for the Lumberjacks.

Record Number of HSU Student-Athletes Named to All-Academic Team

Humboldt State University set an all-time record with 91 student-athletes being named to the 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team. This mark eclipsed the Lumberjacks’ second-highest total by 7%, and outclassed their total from just five years ago by over 34%.

San José State Football Returns to HSU
