The HSU Madrigal Singers present their annual holiday show of 16th century English hits, followed by the Mad River Transit Singers creating some spontaneous jazz combustion in their joint concert on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Fulkerson Recital Hall.

Theatre's Shakuntala Begins Nov. 29

It’s a holiday show with a difference: the story is one of the oldest in India. Yet it has all the elements of western fairy tales: it’s Cinderella with a twist. “Though we try to be true to the essence of Sanskrit drama,” said Margaret Thomas Kelso, who adapted it for the 21st century stage, “we present it as a fairy tale story with a rich cultural history.”

With Passage of Prop. 30, CSU to Roll Back Tuition

_The following was provided by the CSU Chancellor’s Office._ The California State University will avoid a $250 million mid-year budget cut after voters’ approval of Proposition 30, and will start the process of rescinding the $249 per semester tuition fee increase already in place. With the passage of Proposition 30, CSU's budget will essentially remain flat for the remainder of this fiscal year, but state funding is still approximately $1 billion less than several years ago.

Choose Your Jazz in Two Shows at Fulkerson Hall

There may be no such thing as too much jazz, but this fall there was too much for one Jazz Combos concert—so Fulkerson Recital Hall will host two separate shows with a total of five combos on Sunday, Nov. 11.
